Not All Are Portraits.... The Ever Giving Fountain
Getting Started... Thanks everyone!
Thanks for dropping in and checking out the "Portraits in Place" blog. As you can tell from the fact that I have all of ONE entry so far, this is a new blog for me.
Thanks also to all who have been giving positive feedback on my photographic work and encouraging me to display it more publicly.
Environmental portraits are portraits taken in a person's usual environment, such as his home or workplace, that illuminate the subject's life and surroundings. Every picture is a story. Every person is a complex mixture of their own physical and emotional development which, placed on the coordinates of time and space, is unique and special.
My goal is to capture a glimpse of ourselves on film... a glimpse of a person in his own landscape. This is the paradox of seeing inside ourselves by contemplating what is outside of ourselves.
My most sincere gratitude goes out to all who have given me the opportunity to photograph them working, playing, creating and just being.
Namaste.
